  Waypoint Spam Protection
Bulk and unsolicited email (or SPAM) is a nuisance and a huge waste of time. Fortunately, there are ways to help prevent it. One technique spammers use to find your email address is to "harvest" it off of websites. When you post your email address on a website, it makes it available to your target audience, but spammers can also use automated programs to find your email address and add it to their database. We've added a new feature for all Waypoint sites that will help protect you and your clients from this practice. The Rich Text Editor automatically adds hidden code to your pages that the spammer robots cannot understand, protecting that email address from being picked up. Visitors to your site will see the email address link, and they can still click on it to draft a new message, however the hidden code on the page makes it so that the spammer software will not understand that an email address exists, and it will pass right by.
